On Friday, November 17, 2017, the eve of the Ride to End Polio, Rotary cyclists, friends and family will come together for a dinner for fun, fellowship and to celebrate another successful fund raising event. The event gives cyclists an opportunity to meet others riding similar distances and a chance to “buddy up” with others for the ride. As in past years we will offer valuable (and some not-so-valuable) door prizes, recognition for our top fund raisers and folks who have traveled the farthest to participate in the ride, and whatever else we can dream up that will add to the enjoyment of the evening.
We expect that this year’s attendees will include Rotary International General Secretary John Hewko and the rest of the RI team from Evanston, Rotary Foundation Trustee Brenda Cressey, Zone 25/26 Director John Matthews, Charlotte Harris, wife of the ride’s founder Rotarian Mike Harris, as well as a host of Past District Governors and other dignitaries, most of whom will be participating as cyclists or volunteers.
The dinner will once again be held at the Hotel Tucson City Center and will cost each attendee about $36.50 payable in advance. You can sign up for yourself and your guests and pay at this link. PLEASE NOTE THAT TO AVOID DELAYS AT THE EVENT, PREREGISTRATION IS AND ADVANCE PAYMENT ARE REQUIRED.
Dress is business casual, or whatever makes you comfortable. Once you are registered for the ride, or, if you currently receive our periodic Ride to End Polio Newsletter, you will receive more information on the dinner as we get closer to the event.
